In order to prepare your vehicle for the Fitness inspection make sure that all signal & warning lights are functioning properly, check your tires for any side bulging, check main utility functions such as the horn and wipers and check level of brake oil.

The fees related to the Fitness are based on the vehicle’s category given by the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority – SLRSA.
Our payment method is Cash and we will be soon accepting Mobile Money and Bank Cards.
The duration of the Fitness process is approximately 12 – 15 minutes depending on the type of vehicle.
In collaboration with SLRSA, Autospect’s Fitness inspection is a comprehensive mechanical, electrical and visual inspection using the latest computerized diagnostic equipment where more than 500 points are checked such as but not limited to emissions, lighting, visibility, wheel alignment, brakes, engine running condition, bodywork, shock absorbers and under carriage check. A certificate will be provided upon completion of the Fitness inspection stating whether the car passed or failed and in the case of failure, the defects will be clearly mentioned.
Make sure the defects on the certificate are attended for and fixed within a period of 15 days from the initial Fitness Inspection to benefit from a discounted rate of 75%. Past the 15 days normal fees will apply.
You should have the vehicle’s Life Card, previous Fitness certificate if available and an identity document for the person presenting the vehicle.
Bring these documents:

• Previous Fitness certificate (if any)
• Valid Identification Card
All documents must be originals, no copies, faxes, or computer generated PDF files
Vehicles presented past the due date will be fined or penalized. Please make sure to present your vehicle before the expiry of your Fitness Inspection.
As SLRSA and Autospect collaborated together for the launching of new services, you are required to present your vehicle at the earliest possible deadline.
A passing Fitness Inspection is required prior to registering or transferring of ownership of any vehicle.
Yes, all vehicle categories such as motorcycle, tricycle, quad, light duty vehicles and heavy duty vehicles need to undergo the Fitness Inspection to make sure the vehicle is road worthy and to avoid any unlikely event of an accident.
